  • Shooting for Hertfordshire

Do you aspire to shoot for County? Even if you think you are not quite getting the scores it is important to show that you are interested and to get into the habit of submitting scores for all your rounds, even short ones. This will bring you to the notice of the selectors who are keen to have as many people as possible putting in scores, in ALL bowtypes and ALL age groups (yes there are junior teams). You can read more about selection here.

The forms are online, so easy-peasy - no printing down or signing. Here is the Declaration form and here the Score Submission Form.

  • Clout Champions

Congratulations to Malcolm and Alex North who both shot superbly at the Cheshire record status tri-clout weekend August 2015.  Alex, in one of his last outings as a junior achieved 5 national records (out a possible 6), an imperial purple tassel award and a 6 clout end. Malcolm won the senior compound  class on the last two days, broke 1 county record, claimed a metric gold tassel, shot a 6 clout end and also shot a perfect dozen on the metric clout.

  • The Abbey Edge Grove Junior Tournament

    Saturday 21st March 2015

The Abbey Edge Grove Tournament was the biggest yet, with over 40 competitors on 11 bosses. Well done to Malcolm North for his excellent organisation - it all went very smoothly. The Francesca Spelzini Trophy for the highest scoring recurve went to Lyla Lancashire from Corby, an Under 10 girl who shot an eye-watering 588 (admittedly on a 122cm face at 15 yards). You can view the full results here

£168 was raised from the raffle for the charity Hertfordshire Children's Fund.
