Beginners' Courses

 Tuition in earlier days

Before you can join this, or any other Archery GB affiliated club, you will need to attend a recognised beginners' course.

The club usually runs two beginners' courses each year. These take place over 6 weeks in the gym at Loreto College in St Albans.  They are on Saturdays from 4 - 6pm. The cost is £72.

We will usually accept juniors from the age of eight.  For children under 14 years old, a parent/guardian or responsible adult designated by the parent/guardian must be present at all sessions.  Seniors and juniors are taught together.

All necessary equipment is provided by the club.  If you subsequently join Abbey Bowmen we have a free equipment hire scheme which covers the first couple of month's of your membership.  After this you will be explected to buy your own equipment, but coaches will give you advice on this.
